Rupit i Pruit – Salt de Sallent Hiking Trail
Salt de Sallent is the highest waterfall in Catalunya. It can be accessed via the foot path that starts in the Rupit i Pruit village. This easy path is 6 kilometers (3.7 miles) long, back and forth, and it can take approximately one hour and a half.
Along the way there are smaller waterfalls, easy accessible, that might convince anyone to take some rest and prolong the trip. One of these is the subject of the attached image: Saltant de Sabaters. It is a photogenic waterfall located halfway from Salt de Sallent. Sometimes, when the pond at its base is small enough, the leaves on its surface rotate around the falling water current giving the effect of a galaxy reflection for the long exposure photography. Hence, the most surprising events might not await at the destination… but along the journey.
